Lighthouses

Sunday, January 5, 2003 Heather Morton

The coastline of Nova Scotia, Canada, is dotted with lighthouses. Our tourist map showed a tiny lighthouse icon anywhere a lighthouse could be found, usually in small coastal communities of less than a thousand. Many tourists spend their entire vacation … Read more

Nothing Is Ever Wasted

Saturday, January 4, 2003 Robin Ross

While installing a video projector at the church, we had to re-locate an electrical connection under the stage. The openings in the stage support structures were only 12 inches by 14 inches and it seemed impossible to access the wires. … Read more

Now Is The Time

Friday, January 3, 2003 Ivie Bozeman

When I was learning to type, there was a standard warm-up exercise that we always used to begin the lesson: "Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country." Those first four words … Read more

I am still slogging away at my weight. The numbers are thirty less than this time last year, but it has been "eating season" once again! My goal: more pounds off this year. For many of us, the New Year … Read more

There are more passages with promises of God's love and eternal life for us than this page could possibly print. When you think about it, our lives are filled with promises. We promise to be good, or not to do … Read more

New Year's Eve For Y2K

Tuesday, December 31, 2002 Elaine Ingalls Hogg

During the year 1999, we experienced the Y2K scare, when the media proclaimed that a great Millennium Bug was waiting to destroy our future. My husband worked for hours preparing for the long-awaited countdown. In mid-afternoon of New Year's Eve, … Read more

The Cleaner Man

Monday, December 30, 2002 Ken Bakewell

The Word says that the rain falls on the just and the unjust. Strange as it may seem, this reminds me of a man from my youth. I never knew his name; we just called him "the cleaner man". Once … Read more

Saturday, December 28, 2002 Sulochana Vinayagamoorthy

Being on a canoe trip in Killarney in northern Ontario, Canada, surrounded by the majestic scenery of silver peaks, stone-front campsites, and clear blue waters, is quite possibly one of life's most exquisite experiences. As my friend and I paddled … Read more

Worldwide Ministry

Pray
Wednesday, November 4, 2026 – In Asia — Recently, our team held an outreach in a neighbouring district, sharing the gospel house by house in four new villages. At one home, two women chose to follow Jesus. When we returned the next day, they had already invited two more women, who also accepted Jesus. A few days later, four more neighbours were waiting! Pray for continued growth of house churches, deepening faith and strength in the face of persecution for all these new believers.

Today's Thought

The greatest proof of Christianity for others is not how far a man can logically analyze his reasons for believing, but how far in practice he will stake his life on his belief. – T. S. Eliot6
