The Lint Trap

Sunday, March 16, 2003 Anne Russell

Every time I put a load of laundry into the dryer and remove the filter, I am amazed at the amount of lint that is trapped there. Where does it all come from? The clothes have been washed and washed … Read more

"I really need my telephone," my friend explained to the clerk. "I'd appreciate you connecting me up as soon as possible." "Of course! We should be able to do that within a day or two." "I appreciate your prompt service," … Read more

Inner Beauty

Friday, March 14, 2003 Ivie Bozeman

I am well past the years when I can take pride in physical beauty. (In fact, I was never beautiful, but looking back on earlier pictures, I looked better than I gave myself credit for, at earlier stages of life.) … Read more

Making Our Requests Known

Thursday, March 13, 2003 Mary Daniel

Sometimes, something I've written and sent to the Daily Submissions Editor, with a request for consideration, comes back with a request for clarification or changes. And sometimes I challenge the request, because what I've written has seemed pretty straightforward to … Read more

The Valley Of Death

Wednesday, March 12, 2003 Elaine Ingalls Hogg

The call came at 9:07 am. It wasn't entirely unexpected. Perhaps what was unexpected was the grief that I felt when I learned that my great-aunt, Lila, now 102, was dying, and that the family would be gathering to sit … Read more

True Love

Worldwide Ministry

Pray
Wednesday, November 4, 2026 – In Asia — Recently, our team held an outreach in a neighbouring district, sharing the gospel house by house in four new villages. At one home, two women chose to follow Jesus. When we returned the next day, they had already invited two more women, who also accepted Jesus. A few days later, four more neighbours were waiting! Pray for continued growth of house churches, deepening faith and strength in the face of persecution for all these new believers.

Today's Thought

The greatest proof of Christianity for others is not how far a man can logically analyze his reasons for believing, but how far in practice he will stake his life on his belief. – T. S. Eliot6
