Joy In The Desert

Thursday, April 29, 2004 Elaine Ingalls Hogg

My friend has a chronic disease, one of those debilitating medical conditions that leaves her weak, often unable to work, and almost always in pain. Lately, except for visits to her doctor and an occasional visit to church where she … Read more

Fluttering Here And There

Wednesday, April 28, 2004 Darlene Lajeunesse

This morning while I was washing my dishes, I noticed a bird fluttering here and there. She was desperately trying to fit into a small opening in the eave of my neighbour's house where she was building a nest. I … Read more

I started teaching church school at the age of eighteen, and continued teaching children for many years. I have been fortunate to watch my earlier students grow up and become productive citizens in the community and leaders in their churches. … Read more

The Morning Prayer

Monday, April 26, 2004 Elaine Ingalls Hogg

I love to watch the sun rise, to see it push away the shades of night and shine in all its splendour, prancing across the morning sky, like Joseph dancing in delight as he showed off his fashionable coat of … Read more

How To Prop Up A Sagging House

Sunday, April 25, 2004 Vena Poole

We have inherited two huge family Bibles from the Poole side of our union, which are resting on the bedroom floor, all twenty-four-plus kilograms, until I find a permanent home for them. Between their inch-thick covers is a tremendous amount … Read more

Pigeons

Saturday, April 24, 2004 Rod Marshall

Often, I go for a walk at lunchtime, allowing my brain to be refreshed from the melee of students and computers, and giving my eyes a rest from the screen. One day, the streets were dirty and slippery in places, … Read more

My Cordless Phone

Thursday, April 22, 2004 Anne Russell

God Has A System

Wednesday, April 21, 2004 Ivie Bozeman

My husband drives for an automotive dealership, transporting new cars from one dealership to another. It is almost incomprehensible to the human mind what some of these new vehicles can do. They are filled with computers that monitor functions from … Read more

Mama Just Adores Him

Tuesday, April 20, 2004 Elaine Ingalls Hogg

Worldwide Ministry

Pray
Thursday, November 5, 2026 – In the Middle East — We need fervent prayer for our volunteer status to continue for us to minister in our nation. Please pray, for all involved in this process, that God would open a pathway where there is no visible way forward. Pray for our negotiators, that God would give them peace, wisdom, and favour, in the midst of all of this. Pray for divine illumination of the path forward.

Today's Thought

The tragedy of life and of the world is not that men do not know God; the tragedy is that, knowing Him, they still insist on going their own way. – William Barclay6
