Recently, I attended my daughter Bethany's Grade One class, to help with a field trip. They had been studying busy people. The field trip took us on a walk through town, visiting people who help us in our neighbourhood. First, … Read more

Who Turned Out The Lights?

Wednesday, April 3, 2002 Heather Morton

Although this winter has now been declared the warmest on record for us in Southern Ontario, Canada, there have still been a few storms we could have done without. We had one such storm recently. Even though it was still … Read more

Thin Ice

Friday, March 1, 2002 Heather Morton

We haven't had much winter here in Southern Ontario. It has been one of the warmest on record. Many are thankful, seeing snow and ice as a burden. Others are disappointed that there hasn't been much of an opportunity for … Read more

Recently, our congregation added a new ramp to our church, making it wheelchair accessible. Throughout the year, various events had been held to raise funds for the ramp and various related items. One event was a "Chili Cook-Off". The day … Read more

Blueberry Picking

Monday, February 4, 2002 Heather Morton

A favourite time of year for me is blueberry season here in southern Ontario, Canada. We are blessed to live in an area that has many "pick-your-own" farms, and, at that time of the summer, we are busy filling our … Read more

Cranberries

Monday, January 21, 2002 Heather Morton

Last fall, my parents went to a cranberry festival in the Muskoka district of central Ontario, Canada. Along with all the cranberry-related activities, they could purchase "fresh-from-the-farm" berries. They bought some for the whole family, and, since then, I have … Read more

Difficult Journey

Were You Alive?

Saturday, December 8, 2001 Heather Morton

Recently, my children, aged 4 and 6, have begun to understand the concept of time. Bethany now realizes that time passes in an orderly fashion of minutes, hours, and days. We seldom use the common practice of 'three more sleeps,' … Read more

A Rocky Path

Friday, September 28, 2001 Heather Morton

Fraser has always been a "climber". At three, he climbs playground equipment older children are tentative about. For over a year now, he has been sliding down the banister, saying, "This is the way boys climb stairs." We shouldn't have … Read more

Worldwide Ministry

Pray
Thursday, October 1, 2026 – In Canada — Recently we witnessed a powerful move of the Holy Spirit in the life of our sister, "Huzaifa". Since choosing to follow Jesus Christ, her journey has come at significant personal cost. Because of her new faith, her husband chose to divorce her, leaving deep wounds that hardened into bitterness. We discussed the biblical theme of forgiveness. God's Word began working deeply in "Huzaifa's" heart. Pray for Huzaifa's* growth in the Lord.
