Why Did Jesus Have To Die Such A Horrific Death?Podcast

Monday, April 15, 2019 Orlanda Drebit

We know that Jesus, though God, had to be born human so that He could give His perfect life as the payment for our sins, but I really wonder why Jesus had to die such a horrific death. There were many ways that people died in those days. … Read more

I remember a favourite saying of a friend of ours: "Lord, I'll climb the highest mountain, I'll swim the deepest sea, I'll be over next Tuesday … if it don't rain." Why is it that every good intention is so often accompanied by a … Read more

Swallowed By SorrowPodcast

Saturday, April 13, 2019 Martin Wiles

Sorrow can be a bitter pill to swallow, and I felt as if I were being swallowed by it. Days stretched into months. An act of betrayal by another had turned my family inside out and headed it straight for dissolution. Though the situation … Read more

My mother expected her children to stay clean at all times because conditions in a dusty and dirty lumber mill camp environment tried both her patience and her effort. She spent two days washing the week's laundry by hand and hanging it … Read more

Get Truth, Get FreePodcast

Wednesday, April 10, 2019 Nan St. Louis

Today, I am making four batches of my favourite dessert: creamy rice pudding. It was in response to a request for the community dinner in two days. I could eat bowl after bowl of it, it's that good, so it has been a bit of a struggle. I'm … Read more

Drool splattered my cheek. A Bull Mastiff leaned over, wanting his bed back. I opened my eyes and remembered that we were two weeks into the 1998 ice storm, driven from our home, sharing a one-bedroom apartment with six large-breed … Read more

Worldwide Ministry

Pray
Monday, September 7, 2026 – In Angola — Please pray for our rural church people who are struggling with poverty. For job opportunities for them. So many families struggle to even have enough food. We give thanks for the abundant rain for crops, as one man said, "rain gives life"! With the rains come many cases of malaria and now some of the mud brick houses are collapsing as foundations are not well built. Pray that their faith will hold strong.
