We Are Surrounded

Wednesday, March 16, 2005 Darlene Lajeunesse

I arrived at work, but since we had no parking lot, I was left on my own to find a spot. I found one away across the street, but it presented me with a challenge, as I had to parallel … Read more

Pruning Time

Tuesday, March 15, 2005 Anne Russell

After what has seemed a long winter, comes the month of March. On the farm, while the apple trees are still dormant, it is time to prune the trees. The sap has not yet begun to run, and while it … Read more

The other night, I was flicking through the cable television channels, trying to find something to watch. I usually do this after a stressful day, in order to help me wind down. Eventually, I came across The Learning Channel and … Read more

Inside Out

Sunday, March 13, 2005 Mary Daniel

Several years ago, my husband treated me to the concert of a woman whom I much admired. She'd certainly "paid her dues". For years and years, she had scrubbed floors by day and sung in smoky bars by night, until … Read more

The Journey Home

Saturday, March 12, 2005 Elaine Ingalls Hogg

There's a place I look forward to visiting — perhaps because I'm familiar with its landmarks and all that they represent to me — but I dislike the journey enough that I don't go there nearly as often as I … Read more

Never Too Old

Friday, March 11, 2005 Ivie Bozeman

In my church there are distinct divisions between young women, middle-aged women, and the seniors of the church. We have circles and classes to accommodate the various age groups. With the older group, the "seniors", we often hear the comment, … Read more

Faltering Steps

Monday, March 7, 2005 Ivie Bozeman

When our grandson was learning to walk, my husband and I would sit a few feet apart and coax him to come to us, holding out a favourite toy for encouragement. How delighted we were when he took those first … Read more

Worldwide Ministry

Pray
Monday, September 7, 2026 – In Angola — Please pray for our rural church people who are struggling with poverty. For job opportunities for them. So many families struggle to even have enough food. We give thanks for the abundant rain for crops, as one man said, "rain gives life"! With the rains come many cases of malaria and now some of the mud brick houses are collapsing as foundations are not well built. Pray that their faith will hold strong.
