When We Are Wounded

Monday, April 5, 2004 Elaine Ingalls Hogg

For years, I've wondered how followers of Christ can inflict such deep hurts on others, and still call themselves Christians. About a year or so ago, I was revisiting the Scripture passage on the arrest of Jesus, and I noted … Read more

My Jesus! My Lord! My Saviour!

Sunday, April 4, 2004 Anne Russell

In the year of our Lord 2000, I traveled to Israel. With a group in the Holy Land, I came to experience the steps of Jesus, as we walked His route through Holy Week, starting with Palm Sunday and His … Read more

Stomping Snakes

Saturday, April 3, 2004 Brenda Wood

Like most women, I do not like snakes. I run from their presence. I switch the channel if one shows up on television. I shudder at the very thought of being near one. In Mel Gibson's movie, "The Passion of … Read more

The wind blew and the trees swayed as a harbinger of the coming storm. The sky grew dark and the clouds rolled in to unleash a heavy snowstorm. Within a few minutes there was an inch of snow on the … Read more

A Steel Pole

Thursday, April 1, 2004 Brenda Wood

My granddaughter firmly attached her tongue to a steel pole at school the other day. It took great effort and several people to detach pole from child. When she could talk, she explained that she wanted to see if it … Read more

The Spirit Teaches

Monday, March 29, 2004 Ivie Bozeman

Today we hear more about mentors than about the leading of the Spirit through the written Word. We have all probably had our mentors who guided us as we grew. For many, it was a writer. Eugenia Price was my … Read more

Just A Servant

Sunday, March 28, 2004 Virgil Lee

I walked into a large home supply store, and there he stood, seventy-three years old, holding a smoke alarm in his hand. Four months ago, no one expected him to live through a reaction to the anaesthetic that was used … Read more

Worldwide Ministry

Pray
Monday, September 7, 2026 – In Angola — Please pray for our rural church people who are struggling with poverty. For job opportunities for them. So many families struggle to even have enough food. We give thanks for the abundant rain for crops, as one man said, "rain gives life"! With the rains come many cases of malaria and now some of the mud brick houses are collapsing as foundations are not well built. Pray that their faith will hold strong.
