Jesus Helps Us Bear Fruit

Neither A Borrower Nor A Lender Be

Thursday, March 14, 2002 Mary Daniel

"Neither a borrower nor a lender be" is a familiar old phrase, and, for the most part, that is how I like to live. I don't borrow, and would rather give something than lend it, for lending, lots of times, … Read more

A friend of mine was preaching recently, and his text was on John the Baptist. He made the connection between the words in Luke 1:17, "turn the hearts of the fathers to their children", and today's verse in Malachi. I … Read more

If Only

Monday, March 11, 2002 Jim Messmer

"If only I were beautiful, then I would be loved," the young woman said to her mother. "If only my wife still looked like that, life would be sweet," the man remarked to his co-worker. What a sad commentary it … Read more

Hide And Seek

Friday, March 8, 2002 Jim Messmer

Hide and seek was one of my favourite childhood games. I was pretty good at it, the hiding part that is. Sometimes I was too good, for while I hid scrunched in some miserable position, like a sardine pressed between … Read more

Worldwide Ministry

Pray
Monday, September 7, 2026 – In Angola — Please pray for our rural church people who are struggling with poverty. For job opportunities for them. So many families struggle to even have enough food. We give thanks for the abundant rain for crops, as one man said, "rain gives life"! With the rains come many cases of malaria and now some of the mud brick houses are collapsing as foundations are not well built. Pray that their faith will hold strong.
