The Lily

Wednesday, July 4, 2001 Mary Jane Hanson

A few days ago I went shopping for a lily for our front shrub bed. I purchased a splendid yellow hybrid lily. I am certain that, if this plant could talk, it would say, "I am so stately and tall … Read more

Sunday, July 1, 2001 Maureen Killick

I was handed a new Canadian ten-dollar bill by a customer at work, who asked me if I knew that the poem, "In Flanders Fields," was printed on it. I looked, squinted, and looked again. No way could I read … Read more

Inside Out!

Friday, June 29, 2001 Lynne Phipps

As I was cleaning windows last week, I realized anew that cleaning only one side would not complete the job. When I first began, I thought that only the outside really needed doing. Yet as I wiped away the film … Read more

Who Sent The Eagle?

Tuesday, June 26, 2001 Mary Daniel

I am ever in awe as to how birds have a way of taking our cares away, of distracting our thoughts when upset, of how they seem to show up at just the right time. Such was the case while … Read more

Worldwide Ministry

Pray
Monday, September 7, 2026 – In Angola — Please pray for our rural church people who are struggling with poverty. For job opportunities for them. So many families struggle to even have enough food. We give thanks for the abundant rain for crops, as one man said, "rain gives life"! With the rains come many cases of malaria and now some of the mud brick houses are collapsing as foundations are not well built. Pray that their faith will hold strong.
