Philippians 4:19 – But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (KJV)
God is always faithful in both the largest and the smallest things of my life. During my second pregnancy, my fingers swelled so much that I needed to remove my wedding rings before they cut into my finger. At the time, I placed them securely over a decorative dresser post. Months went by, the baby was born, and I was distracted by this wonderful creature, not giving the rings another thought.
When the rings came to mind, I couldn't remember where I had placed them. I frantically searched the house. Finally, in tears, I sat on the edge of the bed and prayed. I asked God to help me to find them, giving thanks that He would. When I looked up, the light streamed through the window, directly on the rings. They were still right where I had placed them months before.
There have been other times when I have misplaced important things, and perhaps you have, too. Think of the joy when a chequebook is found underneath an area rug, or the relief when a lost cheque is discovered. We pray, "Thank You, Lord!" When we walk in the presence of God, we can communicate with Him throughout the day about everything. I never feel stronger than when I sense the Holy Spirit in me and surrounding me. Our gratitude to God can be unlimited.
Through our experiences with lost and found items, the Holy Spirit teaches us to pray for help, to be organized, and to stay focused. I cherish His faithfulness in all circumstances. His eagle vision is much better than ours.
Prayer: Dear Lord, You supply our every need. Not only can You find and save lost souls, but You can locate lost items and shine Your light on them so that they can be found again. We pray that You will remind us to ask You for help when we need it. Amen.

Hi Karen,
Good devotional this morning. It is amazing how the lost can be found at times, and that applies to humans as well as things. It is the Holy Spirit’s guidance indeed.
Thank you for writing.
Hi Karen.
Thank you so much for your devotional. I am praying that the Good Lord will show me where I put my Master Card. I know it’s here in the house and not lost outside somewhere.
Blessings.
Thank you, Karen, for your devotional.
Yes, God has answered some of my prayers in similar ways.
Let us keep praying and continue to enjoy our help in Him from salvation to Glory-land. Amen.

Hello Karen
Wow, could I identify with this devotional. So many times, God is faithful and showing us what we are looking for. Also, thankful that the Holy Spirit shows us things that we need to see or find that maybe we were not looking for!!!!

Hello Karen,
Thank you for this devotional. Yes, it is so helpful when we call upon our Lord as He is ever ready and waiting to respond to our needs. Sometimes we don’t get the answer we want, but His response is the right one at the right time.
Blessings.

Hi Karen,
I send a hearty Amen to your devotional today. I too love the way the Holy Spirit helps us remember and find things we have misplaced.
He even helps with computer glitches, lost files, and data! How comforting it is to know our God really does care about all the details in our lives.
Perfect example of His wonderful grace. Once, many years ago, my husband and I must have argued about something and I was terribly upset. With young children I didn’t have much opportunity for time alone, but that day I remember going to a trail a few miles away. I was so filled with negative emotions and thoughts. Finally, I prayed to the Lord saying that I was not ready to forgive, I was just too unhappy, but that if He could make me ready I would ‘go with it’. Almost instantly my eyes caught sight of the sun sparkling on the snow. It was the most beautiful moment! Everywhere I looked it was sparkling – I couldn’t take my eyes off it, and that was all it took! I was instantly transformed, filled with joy and gratitude for all the blessings of my life. That was many years ago and has been a beautiful “resource” ever since – just like your story. Isn’t He just the greatest? However, we describe Him, all that He has promised (as in the 23rd psalm) can be depended upon like nothing else in life. Bless you for bringing this so vividly back into my memory!
I visited a friend and walked right into the middle of a husband and wife fight.
She had lost her wedding ring and he was furious.
Distressed, I said a silent prayer.
Something made me walk over to a flower pot.
I lifted it.
There, under it, was the ring.
God DOES care
Thank you for this wonderful reminder, Karen. This verse was given to me by God as a promise when I needed to make a major decision about my life in many years ago. God answered then and has continued to do so faithfully ever since.
This year I have been housebound and unable to drive.. The Lord has fulfilled this promise over and over in amazing ways, day after day, week after week, month after month. I cannot thank and praise Him enough. Great is His love and His faithfulness.
Karen, this was so beautifully written and oh so true! Interestingly, God got my attention on this exact Bible verse this morning! His timing is perfect! Thank you for this reminder to always ask and rely on God for help! Blessings.
