Psalm 14:1a – The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." (NKJV)
We've been getting a lot of e-mail in our junk mailbox lately. I get invitations from different companies from all over the world to do business with them. Obviously, they don't know how old I am. We have also been advised about several of our relatives who have left us millions of dollars as an inheritance, to be sent to us as soon as we give them certain details about ourselves.
Strangely, quite often, these Daily Devotionals also end up in our junk mailbox. With my limited knowledge of how the computer works, I have tried to rectify this problem. I have had some advice from people who are more knowledgeable than I am, and I have contacted our Internet service provider on several occasions. The long and the short of it is that the devotionals keep showing up in junk mail — not every day, but quite often.
Someone suggested that the software that filters our e-mail is responsible, because it is programmed to consider that religious material, the Word of God, and faith in Jesus is spam and should be put in the junk mailbox, where it may be deleted without being read.
There have always been times when the truth about Jesus was suppressed:
John 7:1 – After these things Jesus walked in Galilee; for He did not want to walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill Him. (NKJV)
John 7:5 – For even His brothers did not believe in Him. (NKJV)
John 7:12 – And there was much complaining among the people concerning Him. Some said, "He is good"; others said, "No, on the contrary, He deceives the people." (NKJV)
Matthew 12:24 – Now when the Pharisees heard it they said, "This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons." (NKJV)
At that time, there was a concentrated effort to deny who Jesus was — just as there is now.
The resurrection of Jesus following His death on the cross proves that He was who He said He was. He was seen by many people: the women at the empty tomb, Mary in the garden, the disciples in the upper room, and more than 500 people at one time. The apostle John ends his writings by telling us that all that he wrote is true.
John 21:24-25 – This is the disciple who testifies of these things, and wrote these things; and we know that his testimony is true. And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen. (NKJV)
Indeed, the words of Jesus and the words in the Bible testifying to Jesus are all true. Through His teachings, He has comforted millions over the centuries, and He still does today through the power of His Holy Spirit.
Prayer: Our Father in heaven, we thank You for the words of Scripture, written so many years ago, yet so important and comforting to us right here and right now. It is our sincere prayer that many people would come to faith in Jesus, and we offer this prayer in His name. Amen.

Amen Joel!
Good one Joel. Thank you.
Don’t worry, Joel, if God wants to get a message to you no computer software can stand in his way!
The funny thing is that this was in my junk mail this morning and it does happen at least a few times a month.
Thank you so much for this devotional, Joel. It touched me!
Blessings always.
Every day I open my junk mail, retrieve my daily reading and set it free.
Thanks for sharing.
Good Morning, Joel,
Thank you for the well-expressed devotional that I just read… a perfect way to start the day.

Oh yes, Joel. More and more. My Renewal Fellowship daily prayer goes to my junk box. Same deal, I have learned to check it daily. Less and less is anything Christian tolerated. A bit scary. Thank you for your devotional this morning.
Hi Joel,
Thank you for this and I think I will check my spam carefully before just deleting from now on. Thanks again.
God bless.
Oh Joel, from Herod to Hitler, Hades’ minions have sought to silence the truth and testimony about Jesus’ birth, life, mission, death and resurrection. Praying for all Jesus’ followers on this side of eternity to bear witness through word and deed to Jesus’ loving offer of salvation. Blessings.
Your question “do they not know how old I am?”. Reminds me until I was 70 I prepared income tax starting manually then on computer.
I did tax returns for one lady who supported her mother in a nursing home so claimed her mother as a dependent. I got a letter from CRA asking why the daughter was using the mother as a dependent – could this woman not get a job? I wrote to the CRA and apologized for using the lady as a dependent. I had not realized that at 99 years of age and using a walker this lady needed to get out working, we would attend to this immediately. We never heard another word.

Must be a setting in your email Joel.
I get my daily devotionals each and every day and wouldn’t miss them.
Blessings.
