How do you ever get them all to behave so well? This is a question which we are frequently asked when others see us travelling with our dogs. Having nine does make for some interesting moments and conversation, that's for sure. The key to their behaviour, however, stems mainly from one thing: consistency. Day after day, night after night, consistency works wonders. Why? Because day by day, it re-enforces to our family of dogs that we love them, that we are faithful, and that we can be trusted to do what is right by them. Consistency in our behaviour promotes consistency in their behaviour. Thus, their behaviour ultimately becomes a testimony of our behaviour toward them.
Psalm 19:1-2 – The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. (NIV)
God is always consistent. He can be counted on at all times every day in every way. Such faithful consistency, when realized for what it is, cannot help but promote an environment conducive to the growth of trust, loyalty, obedience, and love in those who embrace the glory of His existence and great love for mankind revealed through His Son Jesus Christ. These qualities, in turn, are perhaps the greatest witness that we, as Christians, can have within society. For when others with whom we work and live and play experience consistent, godly behaviour toward them in our lives, the testimony of such behaviour cannot help but reveal to them the testimony of God's love toward all mankind.
Prayer: Father God, today, may each of us be that silent witness to Your consistent faithfulness and love toward mankind, through the consistency of godly behaviour on our part toward all those with whom we live and work and play. Amen.

Dear Lynn, how big is your car! Thanks for the key word — consistency — works everywhere.
Hi Lynne:
Another wonderful devotional.
God bless you too for your consistency in your devotional write up.
Stay Blessed.
Thank you for the devotional Lynne and Thank you for giving 9 dogs a good home.
God and St. Francis be with you … and your animals always.
Lynne – Great analogy. Oh, that we would consistently demonstrate the discipline and love we have received from the Father to others! Thank you for the challenge.
Excellent analogy. This was very uplifting.
Keep writing.
Love and blessings.
Hi Lynne,
You put together a great devotional – very thoughtful and well written. I think the Scripture verse right in the center of your message was powerful.
Blessings.
Good morning Lynne!
Loved today’s message!!!
Dog/animal rearing goes hand in hand with parenting and raising children.
Amazing results when we practice what we first learned from above.
Amen!
Dear Lynne,
Do you have any sled dogs, Lynne?
Thank you for the reminder of God’s consistency and the reminder that we need to be consistent.
A very good devotional, Lynne.
Keep writing.
Dear Lynn:
I am so grateful for my Lord’s consistency. My mother was totally unreliable and others through life to varying degrees, true of many humans.
You often find Godly examples by watching your dogs. My first thought, when you mentioned 9, was sleigh dogs but I’ve seen you mention smaller breeds. You must be a true dog lover.
Blessings.
Thank you for your devotional. I use them in my spiritual life but in other ways also. I wrote a speech the other day on spider webs because of someone’s inspirational devotional and now I receive yours and since my heart is drawing towards getting a dog next year as a companion in my retirement years I thought I would ask you if there is a good book I should get in order to learn more about these beautiful creatures of God.
God bless you.
Another good one as usual Lynne.
Hi Lynne,
I really enjoyed your devotional.
As usual you have made you point well.
Give God the praise.
