Daniel 2:20-21a – Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his. He changes times and seasons. (NIV)

One fall, I decided to plant some tulip bulbs in my front garden. The winter came and went. Finally spring arrived. At the beginning of spring, I went out to look at the garden soil, in anticipation, hoping to see the tulips sprouting up. Finally, one day, there were the signs of green leaves bursting forth from the soil. I was so joyfully excited to see them. These sprouts eventually grew into a colourful garden of red and yellow tulips.

Just as my tulips showed signs of the beginning of a new season with their new growth, God will show us signs and wonders of Jesus' return. In the meantime, we can wait and patiently anticipate His return.

Matthew 24:30 – At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. (NIV)

Prayer: Dear God, guide us with Your wisdom and power, and help us to keep Your commandments. Help us, God, our Saviour, by delivering us and forgiving us for our sins so that we are prepared for Jesus' return. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
