Luke 7:16 – They were all filled with awe and praised God. (NIV)
My dog, Ginger, lay down at my feet, looking up at me. She usually lies with her head down unless she wants the food in my hand. However, I had no food this time, only a book that I was reading. Ginger just gazed up at me for about forty-five minutes. Every so often, I would look at her, to see her loving eyes staring at me. At that moment, I had a thought about Jesus. What will we as God's children do when we meet our Lord, our Master, in heaven? Will we just sit there in awe of our majestic Father, looking up at Him? Will we be praising Him with songs? Will we be asking all the questions we ever wanted to know?
However, isn't it wonderful that we can praise God with our prayers, our songs of worship, our tithes, and our good works right now, here on earth! We can talk to God every day about anything and tell Him how much we love Him. We don't have to wait.
Psalm 63:4 – I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. (NIV)
Prayer: Dear God, how awesome You are. We praise You and love You now and forevermore. In Jesus' name. Amen.
