Psalm 19:1 – The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. (NIV)
Yorkie pups are so cute, but they must be trained not to bark at every moving thing. My daughter finally had the dogs trained not to bark when her husband came home in the night. The cockatoo couldn't stand that, so it ran to the top of the stairs and barked for them.
A wise man once told me that to train a dog, one must be smarter than the dog. Last Sunday's reading at church was from Isaiah 43. Verse 20 popped out at me: "The wild animals honour me, the jackals and the owls". Are the wild animals smarter than we are? Verse 21 speaks of "the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise." (NIV) There's a nugget: we must praise and honour our Lord!
Prayer: Dear Father, God, we forget to honour You when we complain and worry. Help us to honour You by trusting You and showing gratitude. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
