Lasting

Lamentations 3:22-23 – God's loyal love couldn't have run out, his merciful love couldn't have dried up. They're created new every morning. How great your faithfulness! (MSG)

Years ago, my husband bought me a brand new, full-length leather coat. I felt very special while wearing this coat. It was stylish. This coat had a zip-out liner, so I could wear it year-round. It was very warm with the liner for winter, and without the liner, it was great for the cooler spring, summer, and fall days. I never changed from a winter coat to a summer coat. I just wore the same coat, year in and year out. After many years, I was getting tired of wearing the same coat. It just would not wear out.

God's Word doesn't get old. God's love doesn't wear out. He doesn't get tired of loving us. He is love. His merciful love is created new every morning. He is faithful. Let's remember these truths as we go about our days.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You that Your loyal love doesn't run out. Your merciful love doesn't dry up. You are faithful. We can trust You. Help us, we pray. Amen.
