Matthew 18:11 – For the Son of man came to save [from the penalty of eternal death] that which was lost. (AMP)
We were calmly waiting for our appointment when the lights flickered. One of the secretaries gasped out, "Oh no, I was working on an article!" The other laughed and replied, "You didn't save it, did you!" I so understood her horrified look!
Please don't misunderstand me. I really like my computer, and for the most part, it does what I tell it to do. That's because my family has taught me how to negotiate on the computer's terms! Still, I have lost many an article in its depths!
Why is it that we worry so much about a lost computer article, but a lost soul hardly ever crosses our mind?
Romans 10:10 – For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God) and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation. (AMP)
Let's ask God to lead us to those with whom we can share this prayer today:
Prayer: O Lord God, we want to know You personally. We believe that Jesus is the Son of God Who died on the cross for our sins. We believe that Jesus rose from the dead. We confess our sins. Please forgive us and come into each of our lives now, as Lord and Saviour. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
