1 Thessalonians 1:2-3 – We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers, remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father. (NKJV)
I am amazed and humbled by the genuine patience of the editors of the PCCWeb Daily devotionals. Many times have the editors had to cope with my errors, lack of knowledge, or misunderstanding in submitting my writings. No doubt others also have had similar experiences in their devotional submissions.
Just recently, as I was becoming acquainted with an updated operating system on my computer, I experienced this very patience. At other times, I have been the recipient of the same when a correct phrase or word is missing.
Sometimes after several attempts, I feel like giving up, yet the patience of these saints helps me to keep on trying. Their patience increases mine, and produces fruit for the Lord — the fruit being in part our published devotionals, which in turn produce more fruit. I see a reflection in our editors of the good tree referred to in this passage in Luke:
Luke 6:43-45 – A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot produce good fruit. You can tell what a tree is like by the fruit it produces. You cannot pick figs or grapes from thornbushes. Good people do good things because of the good in their hearts. Bad people do bad things because of the evil in their hearts. Your words show what is in your heart. (CEV)
Prayer: Dear Father God, thank You for the faithfulness of Your servants on this devotional site who provide such a wonderful labour of love, with such patience and helpfulness. Bless the ministry and all who share in it, producing fruit for Your kingdom. May we be ever mindful of the great service they provide, and give You all praise and honour. In Jesus' name. Amen.
Editor's Note: Today is the ninth anniversary of the PCCWeb Daily devotional.
