A Bouquet Of Dandelions

Psalm 139:6 – Your knowledge of me is too deep; it is beyond my understanding. (GNB)

Now that spring has finally sprung here in southern Ontario, Canada, our family is spending more time outdoors. Sometimes we are working in the garden, playing in the backyard, or just going for a stroll. Invariably, whenever outdoors, I am presented with a bouquet of dandelions by one of my two children.

To them, dandelions are flowers. They don't see them as noxious weeds, marring immaculate green lawns. Their cheery yellow colour is a symbol of love.

Like the dandelions, we may be less than perfect in the eyes of others. We may be seen as too loud or too timid, too easygoing or too serious, too old or too young. Yet, in God's eyes, through Christ, we are perfect. He knows our very hearts, and loves us for who we are. In an entire field of dandelions, we are unique, and He made us so.

Psalm 139:13 – You created every part of me. (GNB)

Prayer: Loving God, You know us like no other. You see our faults, and yet You love us. You see our strengths, and give us opportunities to use them. May we glorify You in all that we do. Amen.
