John 14:19 – Because I live, you also will live. (GNB)

Recently, while driving through the city, we passed a church. This was not a typical, large-city church with a new design and a modern look. It was a simple brick building that we were more accustomed to seeing in smaller communities.

To one side of the main entrance, there was a large wooden cross, a reminder of Christ's victory, for all to see. Yet it wasn't the cross that grabbed my attention. Beside the cross, amongst the grass and weeds, was a lone red tulip.

What a wonderful testimony to Christ's love for us. It was as though a drop of His blood had touched the ground beneath the cross, there to spring again into life, a vision of His promise of eternal life.

All it takes is a drop, and His love can grow in our tender hearts. For us, He died. For us, He lives. For us, He loves.

Colossians 3:1 – You have been raised to life with Christ, so set your hearts on the things that are in heaven, where Christ sits on his throne at the right-hand side of God. (GNB)

Prayer: Most loving God, Your Son died for each of us. Help us to keep His love in our hearts, so that we might live with Him. Amen.
