John 10:11,14-15 – I am the good shepherd, who is willing to die for the sheep. As the Father knows me and I know the Father, in the same way I know my sheep and they know me. And I am willing to die for them. (GNB)

Jesus — My Saviour and Friend

Jesus, my Shepherd, cares for me as one in His flock.
He is there to guide me as I stray.
He meets me in a field of green grass, flowers, fresh air and sunshine.
He warms my soul with the fullness of His Spirit.
He takes away my burdens as I offer them to Him.
    They are gently blown away.

When I walk through darkness and life seems too hard to bear,
His arms reach out and hold me.
I need not fear my hurts or pains, for He is there to guide me.
Even when I reject Him, He never leaves my side.

I am here, I know you are hurting. Take my hand.
Do not be afraid, for I will carry your pain.
      I am with you always.

He prepares me with the courage to go on.
He anoints me with His spirit and love.
His warmth and freedom are my strength,
For fears and hurts are taken away as peace and sunshine fills my soul.
Jesus, my friend, walks with me daily.

When I falter, He picks me up.
When I am afraid, He holds and cradles me.
His presence is with me every moment as I live.
Jesus is my Saviour, my guide and keeper.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, may we always know Your eternal love. Help us to share our fears and hurts with You and be able to let go of them. We thank for Your daily grace and guidance. Amen.
