Tender Loving Care

Sunday, May 3, 1998

1 Corinthians 13:4 – Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

Your life will be enriched as you give and as you are willing to receive love. Your release of love toward others will affect their health for the better. An experiment involved giving a dozen rabbits tender, loving care. Their food was taken to them; they were petted and talked to almost as if they were human.

Another dozen was provided the necessities of life, but in a cold and indifferent manner. Their food was dispensed to them without any person coming close to the pen. They were ignored as completely as possible over a period of many weeks.

The examination following this test period revealed that the rabbits which had received TLC were healthier than those which had been neglected.

It is not always easy for you and me to realize how important it is that we manifest love through our words and actions. I think we would perhaps be more loving if we realized how influential the spirit of love is in the lives of those around us. God's health care plan is such that hate brings disease, and love releases the forces of healing.

"Love is what makes the world go round" is more than a song. It is an essential facet of God's health care plan. Why not enrol in His health care plan today by subscribing to acts of love on your part?

Prayer: Father, help me to be willing to receive the love You pour out upon me. Amen.
