Listen while you read: "Near To The Heart Of God"1 (Lyrics)

Luke 11:1 – He was praying in a certain place, and after he had finished, one of his disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray."

Past-Moderator, Linda Bell, explains the place of prayer in her life when she writes:

For me, prayer is like having an ongoing conversation with a dear and precious friend — with one who is shocked by nothing, forgives everything, never forgets even if I've been away for a time and who never gossips! Prayer is sharing everything from the little 'trivial' things to the deep down-in-my-soul things. Prayer is listening and waiting and returning again and again until I hear God's answer… My car is my chapel of prayer, the place to recharge my energy in the presence of God.

Prayer: Hello God, I'm back! and for the next few minutes, I need to talk with you about some pretty important things I've been putting off. I not certain where I need to begin but here goes. Amen.
