God Is With You

Wednesday, April 22, 1998

Habakkuk 3:17-18 – Through the fig tree does not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no heard in the stall, yet I will … joy in the God of my salvation.

It is important that you believe God is very much interested in you and in every aspect of your life.

You do not need a fantastic miracle three times a week to keep believing in the Lord. You are to walk by faith. He is your friend and He is not going to forsake you.

You do not have your dear friend call you three times a day and say, "I'm your friend, Don't you forget it!" You just know that your friend is there and will be with you through thick and thin.

Thus, it is with God. He is with you. He doesn't have to come every day and say, "Remember, I still exist, I am God. I am real." No! It boils down to you believing He is with you always. The joy of His presence is assured through believing Him. I like the words of the prophet who displayed great faith.

Prayer: Thank you, Father, that I can have Your joy regardless of outward circumstances or in inward feelings. Amen.
