White As Snow

Isaiah 1:18 – Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. (NIV)

I sat at my window the other day, watching the snow falling gently to the ground, and enjoying the beauty of the world covered in a blanket of clean, white snow. One of my favourite choruses came to mind:

White as snow, white as snow
Though my sins were as scarlet
Lord I know, Lord I know
    That I'm clean and forgiven.

Through the power of Your blood
Through the wonder of your love
Through faith in You I know that I can be
    White as snow.

(Words and music by Leon Olquin)

God uses His creation to remind us of His amazing love. God loves us so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus. We've been washed clean — white as snow — by the precious blood of Jesus, our Lord and Saviour. May we live every day deeply aware of God's love and forgiveness!

Ephesians 1:7 – In Him, we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins. (NIV)

Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for the beauty of Your creation, and that You can speak to us through Your creation. Help us to take the time to admire and appreciate all that You have created for us. We thank You that because of Your amazing love and the gift of Your Son, Jesus, our sins can be forgiven. We confess our sins, even now, and ask You to make us white as snow so that we can glorify You in all that we say and do. In Jesus' name. Amen.
